Fill PDF forms in bulk from Excel
Registration forms, administrative forms, purchase orders: when the PDF already contains fields, you only need to link them to your spreadsheet columns.
Field detection
When a fillable PDF is loaded, PDF Rafale lists its fields (text, checkbox, dropdown, radio). Each field whose name matches a column is mapped automatically; the others take one click.
Mapping rules
- Text field: any text with columns, e.g.
{{First name}} {{Last name}}. - Checkbox: checked when the value is
yes,1,x,true. - Dropdown and radio: the value must match an existing option.
Flatten or not
By default fields are flattened: the generated document is no longer editable, which suits official records. Untick Flatten to keep fields editable, for example for a pre-filled form the recipient completes.
You can combine both: fill existing fields and add free text or a QR code outside the fields.
